A single word has diminished the attention span of the human species to seconds and moments. We expect that if something is to be done it will happen nearly instantaneously. The truth of the matter is that things take time in the real world. I have observed modern humans growing frustrated, impatient, and incapable of waiting.
Intolerance for waiting is spelling DISASTER!
Modern humans need to be made aware of the irrationality of things being done in their short attention spans!
Art extends attention spans and remedies the damage of “LOADING.” In order to create an art piece, you must be patient and persistent. It needs to be revisited and reflexed upon. It is my belief that art is always becoming, meaning that art pieces are never finished.
In real tangible art creation, there are no loading screens, there is no waiting for any forces outside of yourself. The intimate experience of creation in the present clears the mind of the past or the future allowing one to center themselves. From this place of grounding, I can find patience!
