Ask yourself: What do I want my money to be doing?

You may be drawn to investing because you want your money to grow. If you are you must realize that you are welcoming risk to do so. You are betting that by holding a stake in another company your money will grow faster than if you invested in yourself. In most cases, you do not have the capital to make impressive gains and the funds would be better invested in yourself.
