My Grandpa Willy lives in Phoenix, offering his home to us, which acted as a sanctuary, where we could catch our breath on this epic adventure.
The Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon took the place as the number one National Park thus far on this trip. The hike is deceptive as going down is easy, we joined the countless other hikers in cursing the endless switch backs on the way up.
The Petrified Forest
The forest in the name is misleading as in fact you are walking into a desert of ancient wood that has turned to rock. Beyond the fact that the wood that we were holding in our hands was millions of year old the Park was a let down.
