California Road Trip Stops
Redwood National Forest
The magnificence of the redwoods cannot be stated in words, these are living things that were here long before us and will continue to be here long after we die. The area is absolutely teeming with life, each step you take is softened by the thousands of years of biomatter beneath your feet.
Los Angeles
Having grown up in California you would think that I would have taken the opportunity to make it to LA. Although I grew up in a small town, which has led me to steer clear of big cities. Although the Hollywood Sign was a must stop on this epic road trip. We also cruised on our long boards through Beverly Hills, which if you didn’t know is very hilly. We woke up early to catch the waves at Venice Beach which was humbling as wave after wave crashed upon us.
San Francisco
It is not a road trip through California without seeing the gold gate bridge. The city itself is a wonder itself, attracting many of the most interesting people that walk this Earth. I have been to the city a number of times but not nearly enough given how close it is to home. I had a good friend of mine that lives in the city give us a tour around, due to her amazing efforts we saw the city in a whole new light, from the eyes of a local.
Joshua Tree
We were close to skipping Joshua Tree, and we would have be sorely mistaken. The National park is absolutely amazing and doesn’t get the hype that it deserves. The rock formations are other worldly offering a climbers paradise. We reverted back to our childlike selves as we climbed until the sun went down.
Santa Barbara
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Death Valley
Death Valley is most appropriately named as life is virtually nonexistent. The land is incredibly barren, making the national park a bit of a let down. Although we managed to seek out its redeeming qualities. We witnessed fighter jets preforming maneuvers over the valley. While also stumbling upon sand dunes, that we slide down with a boogie board.
