Tom from Porter Lake FL

Tom was a kind and compassionate man that has had a run of others taking advantage of his generosity. He recently left his home in Jacksonville after being beaten and almost killed out front of his home. His neighborhood was decaying into tyranny, putting his life in danger without any possible assistance from the police. He was the temporary care taker over Porter Lake a place that we happened upon staying at. He is very in touch with his creativity as he plays the guitar by ear as well as widdles sticks like I have never seen before.

Horace From Louisiana

We met Horace at a beautiful lake that was his regular fishing spot. We fished along side one another for hours trading stories. He was from the Bay Area where he spent his young days working hard in both business and pleasure. As he liked to say “I am too old for it now but I have had more than my fill".” After our day of fishing together he was going to go home, clean himself up and go to horse races. He was the only one catching fish with his Minos he pulled in over a dozen fish. I realized the hungry fish were finding his hook so I gave up on fishing and dove more into the stimulating conversation with a stranger on the other side of the country.
